Three of nine Charlemont deeds carry a sale price as registry data catches up
Nine property transfers were recorded in Charlemont during October, but only three carried a sale price by this report's deadline, a normal registry lag rather than a sign of hidden figures. Prices ranged from $25,000 to $400,000, with a median of $35,000.
Nine property transfers were recorded in Charlemont during October, but only three carried a sale price by this report's deadline, a normal registry lag rather than a sign of hidden figures. Prices ranged from $25,000 to $400,000, with a median of $35,000. The month's top transaction was 28 Schaefer Way, which sold for $400,000 to Greenfield Savings Bank. Two streets, Schaefer Way and Legate Hill Road, each saw two transfers. With most prices still pending and buyers in all three priced sales being banks or a credit union, the limited data available does not support characterizing October as either a buyer's or seller's market.
