Charlemont Records Nine Property Transfers as Most Sale Prices Go Undisclosed
Charlemont recorded nine property transfers between July 31 and Aug. 29, but only three disclosed a sale price, ranging from $25,000 to $200,000 with a median of $62,500. The month's top disclosed sale was 14 East Hawley Road at $200,000, sold by Jean M. Brisson to Franklin First Federal Credit Union and Greylock FCU. Two transactions involved Edward A. Bimbo transferring properties on Avery Brook Road and Heath Road into a family trust, and a Hawk Hill Road property moved from a trust to individual family members. With two-thirds of sales lacking disclosed prices, the data offers only a partial view of the month's market values.
